UN-Habitat #HearMeToo Campaign: 16 Days of Activism in Afghan Urban Areas

Kabul, 10 December 2018. UN-Habitat Afghanistan launched a social media campaign on the occasion of the 16 Days of Activism to end Gender-Based Violence.  16 different posters covering all UN-Habitat government related programmes were designed and launched during the 16 days of the world campaign.

The 2018 campaign, under the global banner Orange the World: #HearMeToo calls on the UN system and partners across all sectors to support survivor advocated, women’s movements and women’s human rights defenders in ending systemic violence against women and girls.

The campaign kicked off on 25th November (on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women) with a video by Mrs. Zahra Ahmadi, Mayor of Nili and former UN-Habitat staff,  and ended on Human Rights Day on the 10th December.
